Ideal to help visualize and some key concepts of wave superposition and interference.

Easily modify the type of waves involved and the type of interference you want to analyze.

Types of waves you can use

Square
Semi-ellipse
Triangle
Sine
Sawtooth
Slant Left
Slant Right

You can modify the amplitudes and wavelengths of the waves generated as well as measure the resultant interference pattern to verify theory or to aid in "discovering" the concepts to be introduced.

Some of the few concepts that can be shown include:

Wave Addition and Subtraction
View the waves as they overlap
Wave transformation when encountering a different mediums. (set mediums similar or very different)

The Virtual Waves Program is $20 (U.S.). The program can be used at home by the students enrolled at the school the software is liscensed to.
